Our Vision

Spread the Gospel and be the Church in the heart of the Haute-Savoie department of France.

Our goal

We want to build a building in Bonneville that will house our church sustainably, that will be suitable for all ages, and that will serve the Church in Haute-Savoie to continue the mission of Jesus.

We are convinced that our church must continue to grow to strenthen the impact of the Gospel in an area of more than 60,000 inhabitants.

A short history of the church premises

From 2004 to 2017

Action Biblique Bonneville Church was established in 2004 in Bonneville by members of churches in Annemasse and Cluses. At first, we met in a hotel until a first space was rented in 2005.

From 2017 to 2024

We found a larger space to rent in 2017, allowing us to accommodate more groups of children. Still lacking space, we did not stop looking for a suitable place to meet. In 2024, we had to leave this location .

Since 2024

We were able to find temporary premises 9 kms away in the town of Marnaz. These premises are a great blessing, but are only a temporary solution. We were given notice in October that we must vacate this space in early 2025. We are currently looking for a new space.

A growing church in small premises.

For a long time, we were constrained by small premises, but despite this Jesus continued to build his church. Today the church gathers about eighty people of all ages, desiring to grow spiritually and serve Jesus in their context .

A team of two elders and a church council (made up of 5 deacons) serve the church. A considerable effort is made to invest in the lives of our many children. Externally, house groups, Christmas outreach, prison ministry, and participation at local flea markets help us connect with those around us.

Finally, a door opens to a larger space!

In June 2023, after we had just experienced a failed purchase of a building, the local authorities offered us the opportunity to purchase a dilapidated building, but well located in the Bouchet district of Bonneville ( not far from the center).

Time and again, and in different situations, we have seen God at work to open the first doors of this colossal project.

Building project plans

The premises will have a large multi-purpose room (worship, meals, conferences, etc.) capable of holding up to 150 people. In addition, there will be a reception area and four adjoining rooms for hosting groups of children or groups of adults.

The stages of the project

Purchase

The final purchase will take place in May 2025, after an initial fundraising.

Demolition

The current building, which does not allow the establishment of a church, will be demolished.

Construction

A new premises will be built. If funding allows, construction will start in 2026.

Our challenge

The purchase and the first phase of construction will cost €560,000. The church treasury and internal donations provide nearly €200,000.
To begin this first phase, we are looking for €360,000.

We rely on the grace of God and the generosity and unity of others to meet this challenge.
